Discover a hidden gem in rural Dorset

Fishmore Hill Farm is an idyllic rural retreat set amidst the rolling hills of North Dorset, with uninterrupted spectacular views towards the world-famous Jurassic Coast.

Set in the historic 18th century village of Milton Abbas surrounded by pretty open countryside, woodlands and a fantastic bridleway network, we truly have some of the county’s best walking and riding right on our doorstep.

Why not come and explore all that this beautiful part of Dorset has to offer – you can even bring your four-legged friend!

We’ve just opened Middleton Barn, a luxury apartment sleeping five, to complement our cosy B&B. It’s the perfect base to discover Dorset and a tranquil setting to relax after a wonderful day riding, biking walking or touring. It is also fully adapted for disabled guests.

We also offer top class B&B for your horse. Our fully-equipped livery yard has ample stabling and grazing for your horses and plenty of space for your tack, horsebox and car. We even have a school and an on-site BHSAI instructor.

We’ll show you all the best routes including rides and walks that take you past some of the village’s most famous landmarks including its Benedictine Abbey, medieval chapel and even a ruined folly hidden in the woods.

And if you’ve always dreamt of galloping through the surf, you can - Studland Beach, a long sandy stretch of coast popular with riders, is within easy striking distance.

“We’re very lucky to live in such a beautiful place and can’t wait to share its secrets with our guests. Whether they’re visiting to ride, or just to explore Dorset’s treasures they won’t be disappointed,”

“We’ve wanted to holiday with our horses for years, it certainly didn’t disappoint. Horses in the height of luxury and the hacking and scenery were outstanding. We all couldn’t remember when we felt so relaxed,”
